"What Do You Want" Album Cover
Programs used: Procreate and Photoshop
This was a commission for an album cover and promotional poster set. After meeting with the client she described to me that she wanted to do a take on old sixties horror movie posters, but make it look eighties and colorful. After we decided on an ocean scene I sketched her a first draft which she was very happy with. Then I went in adding details to the painting (all on procreate.) After doing many drafts until she was happy with the art, I took it into photoshop, added text, and for the poster played with a "folded poster" overlay.
Other Album Cover Commissions
Programs used: Photoshop
For album art commissions I always do preliminary concept sketches/ thumbnails by taking clients' inspiration pictures and combining them into something unique but still true to their vision. I do drafts, get feedback, and revise until my client is happy. I allow myself to be looser with personal style to guarantee they get what they want.
ParanormalX Rebrand
During my internship with Mark Victor Productions, I was responsible for the creation of new social media profile pictures and channel banners, effectively rebranding their social media image. I went through several rounds of design before my supervisors approved them for implementation. I also used the template for advertising the company's video series called "UnXplained".
Stylized "Personality" Posters
Programs used: Photoshop
This was an exploration in widening my design toolkit, developing my personal style, and trying to represent the aesthetic of each of my friends in a poster. I played a lot with blending modes, textures, and font. I chose a square aspect ratio because I knew I would be posting these on Instagram.
